Martyrs’ Thursday, Nov 30 - 8pm - $6 Revelator Redshirt Feathergun Sleepy's Reason REVELATOR interprets traditional americana, recorded exclusively prior to 1945, from delta and piedmont blues to appalachian old-time, from memphis jug bands to spirituals. Their mentors are those men and women - Son House, Memphis Minnie, the Carter Family and Blind Willie McTell - whose music expressed the fundamentals of the human experience. As an electric group or an acoustic string band, Revelator explores the extremes of emotion, from death to desire. REDSHIRT consists of four experienced musicians, each of whom have played the largest venues and clubs in Chicago and the Midwest with former bands. These veterans of the Chicago music scene play raw and loud and boast the best rhythm section in Chicago. This is a band that is musical, visual, and has the plan, focus, and determination to appeal on an international level. Blending elements of classic rock and their previous day jobs, FEATHERGUN have left their respective cubicles to serve you up a tasty helping of hooks. Armed with undeniably accessible songcraft and bitter to sweet serenades, Chicago based Feathergun thrusts forward with a sonic assault of melodic goodness that lusts for rock stardom. File under 'Cubicle Rock' and 'Power Point Pop', a pleasantly familiar yet unique sound, inspired by days spent working in the corporate world. This is arena rock pumping on through your office stereos, so flash your devil horns and get ready to sing along... Martyrs’ 3855 N. Lincoln Ave. Chicago, IL 60613 (773) 404-9494 www.martyrslive.com/skedule.htm

Mark and I won't make it to the show on Thursday either....... Pat - sorry we missed you on Saturday! We actually were hangin at a bar really close to your place - over by that santa's cottage - hehe! We were at Downings for a while - then got pissed cuz of the "smoke free" rule in the bar - we headed to that Park Street Bar - but it was closed - so we ended up at this little bar - but it was clean. We left around 1:30 am - had to drive one of Mark's buddies home (and I had to work in the morning). Hope you guys book some more shows this winter - I'm sure we'll be looking to getting out of the house! Hope you had a great thanksgiving! P.S. Hi Alecia & Woody!
